Alan Pollack, our Audubon-at-Home Chair, will be giving his lecture/slide show on Restoring Habitat One Yard at a Time/Creating a Wildlife Friendly Garden at the CSUN Botanic Garden on Saturday, September 19 and at an Extension Division Workshop at Pierce College on Saturday October 17. In addition to his lecture, the workshop will feature Art Langton giving a lecture/slide show on the birds of the San Fernando Valley gardens and a lecture/demo by a native plant landscaper. If your lawn is dying due to the new water restrictions, you’ll want to learn the sustainable gardening practices discussed in this workshop.
