TOPIC: San Fernando Valley Audubon (SFVAS)
Comments on $22 million for the Sepulveda Basin
Patricia Bates, PhD, President of San Fernando Valley Audubon Society commented “SFVAS has been working with the LAFD, LACC and Chrysalis on vegetation management projects that support habitat, safety, and wildlife in the basin. We are thankful they have received some support and extend thanks.”
She also commented: “SFVAS was hoping to receive funding to repair or replace collapsing observation decks at the wildlife lake, which are an integral part of Sepulveda Basin nature education programming.
We are hoping to obtain future funding for that in addition to needed repairs to fences and updated signage in our wildlife areas.”
