Richard and Marianne Davis recently traveled to Weldon at the invitation of the Southern Sierra Research Station (SSRS) and Audubon Kern Reserve.
They observed bird banding and participated in the 25th Anniversary Bird Count for the Kern Audubon Preserve. SFVAS has long supported SSRS’s MOTUS system, which made this a particularly meaningful experience.
Another highlight was seeing Edwin Jacobo, PhD, complete his research and become Assistant Manager for the Audubon Reserve. Congratulations, Dr. Jacobo!
