Franklin Canyon Bird Walk

This walk runs approximately 2 hours. The trail is a gentle assent into the chaparral. It is not wheelchair accessible. The final portion of the walk is the small lake and pond. The challenge of the walk is spotting birds as they dart under bushes into trees and fly downslope. Bring your bird gear, binoculars, hats, water and walking shoes. All levels are welcome. Appreciation of birds is our mantra.

Directions: From the San Fernando Valley, take the Ventura Freeway (101) or Ventura Blvd. to Coldwater Canyon Blvd. Head south to the intersection of Coldwater Canyon and Mulholland Drive. Make a 90-degree right turn onto Franklin Canyon Drive.
