SUMMARY:Zoom Event: What an Owl Knows
DESCRIPTION:Jennifer Ackerman’s presentation will focus on her latest book\, What an Owl Knows: The New Science of the World’s Most Enigmatic Birds. This book was an instant New York Times bestseller and has been described in reviews as “eloquent and engaging\,” “a fascinating read\,” and “a masterful survey.” \nThe presentation will explore what we’ve learned in the past decade or two about owls. Jennifer will explain how owls communicate\, how they court\, mate\, raise their young\, and how they relate to one another and to us. We will learn about people who’ve devoted their lives to studying these beautiful birds as well as those who work one-on-one with owls in areas of rehabilitation and training. \n \nJennifer Ackerman has been writing about science\, nature\, and health for more than three decades. Her essays and articles have appeared in The New York Times\, Scientific American\, Natural History\, and many other publications. For seven years\, she was a staff writer and researcher for the Book Division of the National Geographic Society. She was educated at Yale University\, graduating cum laude in 1980 with a B.A. in English. \nIf you plan to attend via Zoom\, please enter your info and we’ll send you a link prior to the event.\nIf you’ve signed up for previous events\, feel free to skip this step – you’re already on our list!\n\n First Name\n \n Last Name\n \nEmail address: \n \n\n \n\n\n	\n Leave this field empty if you're human:
