Encino Community Center, 4935 Balboa Blvd., Encino. Located between Moorpark and Ventura Blvd., on the west side of Balboa, just south of the Presbyterian Church. Come early for social hour.
Our speaker will be Anna Reams, executive director of Wildlife Care of Ventura County (WCVC). WCVC was founded in 1994 by a group of individuals who saw with increasing regularity that wild animals were becoming victims of urbanization and therefore the desperate need for experienced wildlife rehabilitators to care for our native wildlife. Anna Reams has been rehabilitating wild animals since 1993.
In addition to rehabilitating wild animals WCVC’s mission is to educate the public on how to co-exist with our new urban immigrants. She will be bringing a few non-releasable wild animals which will include a California King Snake, Screech Owl, Barn Owl, and Skunk. Alan Pollack, our Audubon-at-Home Chair and WCVC volunteer, will also be participating in the presentation.
